The hardest thing that I had to learn was to make the customer happy... I wanted to make the headline of the newsletter very creative and about 1/3 of the page... Well Shelley and Lisa wanted me to be more conservative and only use 1/5 of the page. Needless to say the headline is small... I am ok with it but the design elements that I first intended on using are not there anymore... dang it!!
With all of that going on I still think the newsletter will be great for everyone... It is a unique and fresh piece that I can be proud of. The newsletter is suppose to be coming out in October so... if anyone wants to be a writer for a section or two that would be great. =)

Hi Tiffany!
ReplyDeleteWhen I started working in 2002, I also started a newsletter with the non-profit I was working with. It grew from 2 pages to 6 pages and I loved every minute of it. It went out to families, youth, schools and health care providers through out the state. Occasionally I had other people write some articles but other than that I did it in its entirety quarterly. It was so much fun. Is there any way that I could get involved with the Newsletter at RCC? I am only in the College Transfer program and am not interested in graphic design as a major, is that okay?
Thanks so much! I look forward to reading more of your blogs!
